Let’s know about Ajit Doval 

Ajit Kumar Doval is a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and the 5th National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India. After assuming the post of National Security Advisor, Ajit has also served as an Indian spy for seven years in Pakistan.

 

Ajit Doval was born on January 20, 1945 as Bad Bansaluyun, Pauri Garhwal, United Provinces, in British India (now in Uttarakhand, India). He went to King George Royal Indian Military School (Ajmer Military School), Ajmer, Rajasthan. In 1967, Doval received a master’s degree in economics from the University of Agra.

 

He was elected as an IPS officer from Kerala Cadre in 1968. He is known to be actively involved in anti-insurgency programs in the states of Punjab and Mizoram. It was during his tenure that the 2016 Indian Line of Control Strike and 2019 Balakot Airstrich were organized on 29 September 2016 and 26 February 2019, respectively. Ajit Doval was trained under former IPS officer and India’s third national security adviser MK Narayanan.

 

Career 

Ajit Kumar Doval started his police career in 1968 as an IPS officer from the Kerala cadre. He played an important role in the anti-insurgency campaign in the states of Punjab and Mizoram. In 1999, Doval had played an important role in the dialogue relating to the release of passengers from IC-814 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, which was then under the control of the Taliban. The mortgage crisis ended only after releasing the three terrorists of India.

 

Ajit Doval served as head of the Operation Wing of Intelligence Bureau (IB) for nearly a decade. In 2004-05, he was appointed as the Director of IB. He was the founder-chairman of the Multi-Agency Center (MAC) and the Joint Task Force (JTFI) on Intelligence.

 

He was appointed as Chairman of Strategic Policy Group (SPG) in October 2018. SPG creates the first level of three-level security in the National Security Council.

 

Family & Caste 

Ajit Doval was born in a Brahmin family as Gunanad Doval, a military worker. He is married to Anu Doval and has two sons, Vivek Doval and Shaurya Doval.

 

Vivek Doval is a chartered financial analyst who is a UK citizen and lives in Singapore. Shaurya Doval is an Indian diplomat.

 

Facts

When he was living as Muslim in an undercover agent in Pakistan, a white bearded person recognized him as a Hindu. Initially, Doval did not agree with that man and said that he has converted to Islam. In the end, he had to agree with the man because the neck of the handle was pierced. The white bearded unknown person later admitted that he himself was a Hindu and after the killing of all his family members due to religion, he had to live like a Muslim. He even took Doval to his house and showed him the idol of Lord Shiva.
